As well as many other projects

Global Impact has taken the initiative to start the Tree Seed Bank, a dedicated cause to preserve the forests of today for tomorrow. We have started to collect seed from the Hardwood and semi-hardwood forests of North America in an effort to regenerate the loss of forests from clear cutting and to educate the land owners to take the necessary steps to preserve our natural resources. We hope to extend our cause throughout the world.

Recycling;

 Global Impact has been involved with several Northern WV counties in improving and implementing recycling programs through the Monongalia Solid Waste Task Force and Recycling Advisory Committee we are working toward a regional recycling program that will be state of the art. Our program in Mon County is one of two that are profitable in WV showing that recycling can be lucrative as well as feasible. We are currently working with these counties toward expansion of commodities accepted to recycle. We are working on aseptic containers, expanded polystyrene(styrofoam), garden pots/containers, and antifreeze.

Battery Recycling

Global Impact is working with several Counties throughout the East Coast and West Virginia to develop  battery recycling programs to eliminate batteries and heavy metals from going into the landfills and inevitably our ground water. We have held two collection events in Northern WV in 2003, and 2004. We also are collaborating with the RBRC(Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation) to bring more drop off centers for Rechargeable Batteries.

Composting

Global Impact is working to promote community composting projects and eventually large compost facilities to keep organic material from being wasted in landfills instead of allowing it to become soil as it was meant to be. Organics usually go into landfills where they shorten the landfill life span and require the need for more landfills that we don't want in our backyards. Global Impact has written backyard compost ordinance for small towns and Cities to implement as they see fit. We are also collaborating with the Monongalia County Solid Waste Authority and Local Coal Companies to establish a regional composting facility for Northern WV and tristate area.

E-Cycling

Global Impact has worked with the State of West Virginia and Region 3 EPA and WV Counties SWA's to facilitate Electronic recycling also know as e-cycling. Our program has been very successful and we are working with other nonprofits and businesses to develop a permanent ongoing arrangement to recycle electronics.

Household Hazardous Waste program

Global Impact has been fighting for a Regional Household Hazardous Waste facility and drop off program for the past four years. We are still working with the State and Monongalia County for a regional facility. At present we had a one day drop off that was scheduled this past spring with the Mecca or 911 of Mon County and the Mon County SWA.

Tree Planting

Global Impact has and is very active in tree planting to help minimize soil erosion. We have been working with Girl and Boy Scouts of America on this program the development and organizing of our Tree Seed Bank that collects preserves and propagates tree seed for hardwood and semi hardwood tree varieties.

Land Preservation

Global Impact is currently active in the Farm Preservation program in West Virginia and several counties. We are promoting the development of Farm Preservation Boards on County Commissions in order to get Government funding to match local funds to buy development rights from farmers and thus protect these farms from development and urban sprawl. This will protect these farms for future generations and our agricultural economy as well as our National Security. Global Impact has been invited to participate with Pennsylvania's Farm preservation program and cooperation with WV in its development.

Wildlife Preservation

We at Global Impact believe in protection of the endangered species. We also believe that hunting of non endangered species helps control species overpopulation due to the lack of predator species and over grazing which allow animals to die from starvation and disease. Through land preservation and setting land aside. We can protect our watersheds, animal species , and natural resources.

Litter programs

Education of the public and active pickup programs are just some of the things we do to help control litter. We have stream stabilization and cleanups as well as roadside cleanups to dispose of litter where it belongs. We recycle all, that is recyclable and put the rest in the land fill. We also work with school kids online to organize projects in their community.
